Adressable Fire Alarm System
Addressable fire alarm systems pinpoint the areas where they are installed. In addressable systems, the fire alarm gives the exact location of the fire. In addressable systems, fire detectors are identified with their unique electronic addresses and they pinpoint situations such as notification or pollution and malfunction.
Addressable fire detection systems are mostly used in places where more rooms/persons/detectors need to be used, such as medium and large-scale hospitals, dormitory buildings, schools, universities, shopping malls, multi-storey buildings and government institutions.
Addressable fire detection systems are not limited to being connected only to fire detectors, they also have options such as receiving information from other auxiliary systems, activating and disabling them. It can send or receive commands to other auxiliary systems such as cameras, elevators and extinguishing elements during a fire. One of these commands is to let the elevator go up or down to a certain floor while the fire continues. Addressable fire alarm systems can also be controlled via computer and software.
